Tune Of The Week: Sub Focus - Splash

Kodish told me to check out the Sub Focus album..been listening the last few days. Really good DnB.
This is my favourite track. Awesome build to a big beaty crescendo. Let it load in HD..sounds better.
Get the album, well worth it.

The Best Music You've Ever Heard Ever...Today. #2

For those that love electronica and all things synthy... Jon Hopkin's album "Insides" is well worth checking out.

Ive had it a while now and have been regularly listening to it on the train on my way to Apollo Control. Its got some great chilled out ambient tracks but also some big beaty darker tracks with glitchy noizes and drums on. He's a trained pianist so as well as being very atmospheric, the albums is also very musical.

My album highlight is definitely Light Through The Veins. Its an absolute masterpiece..a 9:18 minute journey of synthetic beauty. Apparently it originated as a simple nine-note idea in late 2006, eventually took over three weeks to finish, and ended up containing about 800 sounds, layered over 128 tracks...almost as many as most A440 tunes do. I could listen to it all day.

Tune of the Week: Beck, Bogart & Appice - Superstition

Been listening a lot to our old pal Jeff recently - spotted this classic on YouTube.
1973 version of Stevie Wonder's Superstition with Tim Bogert on bass and Carmine Appice on drums.
Absolutely fab!
Quality could be better but it all adds to the vibe - enjoy!

"The Muse" Having Fun

"The Muse" have some fun switching places after not being allowed to play live...Matt miming some suitably terrible drumming! Those of you with a mischeivious memory may recall a similar performance by ourselves in the late 90s in Sweden at an MTV awards show. Everyone swapped instruments, drums got trashed and the DJ decks which for some reason were on wheels ended up off stage..
